We’re delighted to invite you to a special ACF Fundholder experience with Happy Paws Happy Hearts – a national organisation connecting socially isolated people with rescue animals.
Join us on Wednesday, 15 July, for a behind-the-scenes tour with Happy Paws Co-Founder and CEO, Zoe Black. Connect with staff and participants, meet some furry friends and learn how this unique approach to addressing social isolation is driving impact.
During this immersive visit, you will:
- Learn how Happy Paws creates safe, supportive environments where people can find purpose and build confidence.
- Hear directly from participants about the difference the program has made in their lives.
- Gain insight into how this hands-on, human-animal connection model can be more effective than traditional approaches in addressing social isolation.
- Explore opportunities for philanthropic action in enabling HPHH’s innovative programs that create deep, long‑term impact and strengthen community connection.

Zoe’s commitment to social change has earned her prestigious recognition through the likes of a Westpac Social Change Fellowship, Social Impact Leadership Australia, and being named the first Social Entrepreneur in Residence for the University of Queensland.
In her role at Happy Paws Happy Hearts, Zoe has been instrumental in scaling the organisation to achieve its ambitious social outcomes. The enterprise spans fromDarwin to Hobart, with a mega-site in Brisbane recognised as the largest social inclusion site in Australia. Whilst supporting people out of social isolation, the organisation simultaneously supports rescue and assistance animals on their journeys.
