We hope you can join us at Australian Communities Foundation’s next Future Fund Peer Group meeting, where we’ll explore the tension between responding to immediate community needs and preserving funds for long-term impact.
In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to balance short-term pressures with long-term goals, drawing on your own experiences and insights. You’ll hear examples from peers on when and how they choose to grant or grow their endowment, and build confidence in communicating these decisions to key stakeholders like board members and donors. Together, this will leave you with clear next steps for your own Future Fund strategy.
To support rich discussion, we encourage you to come prepared with reflections in response to the following:
1.) How do you decide when it’s appropriate to grant from your Future Fund?
2.) How do you communicate your endowment approach to your board, funders, and your community?
3.) Thinking about a recent moment of urgency, did you increase your granting, and what did you learn?
4.) One dilemma you’d value input on from your group.
Please RSVP at your earliest convenience and feel free to reach out with any questions. If you would like to nominate someone else to attend, please let us know.
