PROJECT OUTCOMES

The "Breaking Silence" project aims to enhance social outcomes for residents of The Hills Local Government Area (LGA) by cultivating awareness, empathy, and empowerment regarding domestic, family, and sexual violence. By offering a fresh perspective and delving into cultural barriers and stigma, the project will spark vital dialogues, challenge societal norms, and foster inclusivity within the community. Evaluation of the project's impact will
involve multiple metrics, such as audience feedback, levels of community engagement, and shifts in attitudes towards violence and survivors.

Moreover, we will monitor the utilization of support services and observe any changes in societal perceptions or behaviours concerning domestic and sexual violence. In The Hills LGA, there were 330 reported incidents, translating to a rate of 171.4 incidents per 100,000 population, ranking 108th in comparison to other areas. Through "Breaking Silence" we aspire to make tangible strides towards mitigating these statistics and creating a safer, more supportive environment for all residents.
