Action for Dolphins
Field of Interest
- Environment conservation and climate change
Target Population
- Flora / fauna
Action for Dolphins works to end dolphin suffering and protect their ocean home through bold legal action, advocacy, and campaigns that create lasting institutional change.
Our recent wins include securing Australia's first ban on captive dolphin breeding in New South Wales, shutting down a Taiji dolphin meat supplier, and publishing Australia's first ethical whale and dolphin watching guide, helping people connect with marine life without driving demand for their exploitation.
We are fighting to extend Australia's captive breeding ban to Queensland, cut off the international travel industry's financial lifeline to the Taiji dolphin hunt, and remove deadly shark nets that kill thousands of marine animals on Australia's coastlines each year.
Philanthropic support enables the sustained advocacy work – research, coalition partnerships, and strategic communications – that turns public concern into durable policy change.
