Bayside Health – Peninsula is the major metropolitan health service for Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula, providing comprehensive care to a community of more than 315,000 people. We provide care for local residents from birth through to end of life care, as well as a comprehensive range of sub-specialties including emergency medicine, intensive care, obstetrics and gynaecology, aged care, rehabilitation, oncology, mental health and care in the home. We operate 13 primary locations including Peninsula University Hospital and Rosebud Hospital.
Our region, covering Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula faces unique challenges, including an ageing population, significant socio‑economic disadvantage, and higher‑than‑average rates of vulnerability, chronic disease and mental health issues.
When compared with the rest of Victoria, our region has a significantly higher aged and ageing population: 27% of the population is 60 years or older.
Our mission is “healthy lives for everyone through sustainable, innovative and compassionate care.”
