Centre for Stories is a not-for-profit, community-led literary arts and cultural organisation based in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia. Founded in 2015 by John and Caroline Wood, Centre for Stories uses storytelling to build skills, boost confidence, and bring people together.
Centre for Stories works with individuals and communities whose voices have historically been excluded or undervalued. With a strong focus on cultural and social diversity, it supports storytellers and writers to share their experiences in their own voices and on their own terms, helping shape a more inclusive and informed society.
Its work includes writing programs, oral storytelling workshops, public events, mentoring, and professional development. It also provides storytelling services for organisations and businesses, helping them engage, inform, and influence through powerful narratives. Everything Centre for Stories does is grounded in creativity, authenticity, collaboration, and inclusion.
