Clifton School of Arts is an Australian, volunteer-led, incorporated not-for-profit community arts organisation on Dharawal Country in the Northern Illawarra, New South Wales. For more than 140 years, they have connected people through art, creativity and community by providing an inclusive space for exhibitions, workshops, performances, education programs and cultural events.
Housed in a heritage building built by striking miners in 1911, Clifton School of Arts has been restored through decades of community effort into a vibrant contemporary arts venue. They provide affordable, accessible opportunities for artists, audiences, schools and community groups to create, learn and connect.
As the only dedicated community-run arts venue of its kind in the Northern Illawarra, Clifton School of Arts plays a vital role in supporting local artists, strengthening community connection and preserving cultural heritage.
By supporting Clifton School of Arts, you will help to expand accessible arts programming, support emerging and established artists, care for their heritage building, improve accessibility and ensure the School remains a sustainable, welcoming cultural hub for future generations.
