Community Support & Outreach Services Central Coast (Community SOS) has been serving the Central Coast community since 1971. Guided by their vision of offering practical help to build a better future, they deliver services that strengthen social connections, reduce hardship, and improve community wellbeing.

The increasing cost of living is placing significant pressure on individuals and families across the Central Coast region. Many people are struggling to meet basic living expenses, facing the difficult choice between paying essential bills or purchasing food. Financial hardship is a major contributor to poor mental health, physical health challenges, relationship breakdown, and social isolation, creating a growing need for accessible and practical support services.

Community SOS responds to these challenges through a range of programs, including Financial Counselling, Emergency Relief, and their expanding Food Pantry. These services provide vital support to people experiencing financial stress and help improve food security for vulnerable community members.

They are seeking funding to purchase essential equipment that will enhance their Food Pantry’s capacity to prepare, cook, package, and distribute nutritious meals to individuals and families facing hardship. This investment will enable them to meet increasing demand and provide more effective support to those experiencing food insecurity.
