Finley Public School Parents and Citizens Association

Finley Public School P&C is a proactive, volunteer-led organisation that works closely with their school to enhance the educational opportunities, facilities and experiences available to students. Their contribution extends well beyond traditional fundraising. They identify, develop, fund and support projects across the school, from educational resources and classroom equipment to infrastructure improvements, landscaping, inclusive and sensory spaces, play and outdoor learning environments, and initiatives supporting student wellbeing and engagement.

As a small rural community of approximately 2,750 people, Finley benefits from a strong culture of participation, collaboration and community involvement. The Association’s close partnership with school leadership, staff, families, local businesses and community members places them in a strong position to identify genuine needs and turn ideas into practical, sustainable projects.

Current priorities focus on improving educational resources, inclusive learning and play opportunities, outdoor environments and ageing school facilities. Funding allows them to progress these priorities alongside locally raised funds, volunteer labour, donated expertise and in-kind community support, significantly increasing what can be achieved.

Finley Public School P&C has a demonstrated record of delivering tangible improvements, including supporting sensory and landscaped spaces, educational play areas, sporting infrastructure, student amenities and learning resources. They are ambitious about what a small rural school can offer and believe their location and size should not limit the quality of opportunities available to students.
