Green Thumb Farm is an educational community farm on a mission to demonstrate how sustainable farming heals the soil, boosts biodiversity, and builds climate resilience. They welcome people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to reconnect with how food is grown, where it comes from, and the joy of growing and sharing it. They take a practical, community-based approach to systemic change. By creating opportunities for people to see, learn, and do, they make sustainable food systems tangible, inclusive, and achievable.
They do this through:
- Demonstration: A working farm grounded in regenerative and sustainable principles.
- Education: Hands-on programs for children, families, schools, and corporate groups.
- Support: Practical workshops and emerging community composting initiatives.
