Organisation Summary

The Nature Education Centre provides a range of educational resources to pre-schools and schools, across all educational sectors in South Australia, in the metropolitan area and near country locations. We cater for all students from Early Childhood to Secondary, however our main focus is on the primary years.

We aim to educate students about the environment by using a very hands-on approach. We keep a wide range of live animals that are available for loan on a short-term basis, make visits to pre-schools and schools for presentations. We maintain a range of preserved specimens and have an extensive range of educational kits related to a broad range of environmental themes that are available for loan. We reach thousands of students each year. We strongly believe that accessible education with quality resources is vital to enhance the learning outcomes of students in environmental education.
