People For Nature

People For Nature is a citizen-led environmental charity empowering Australians to take meaningful action for nature. We transform complex scientific insights into accessible knowledge and engaging, solution-focused experiences. Through hands-on workshops, citizen science, and place-based projects, we reconnect people with nature and build a nationwide community of citizen conservationists.

We respond to the urgent twin crises of biodiversity loss and climate change with flagship programs like The Biodiversity Collage, Climate Fresk, our Nature Oasis initiative, and our Koala Genetic Monitoring program.

Our current priorities include:

• Expanding workshops in urban, rural, and regional communities.
• Supporting underrepresented groups in nature-based leadership.
• Creating community-led Nature Oasis sites.
• Scaling up our citizen science koala genetic monitoring program.

Funding will help us extend our reach into communities most affected by biodiversity loss and climate impacts, while growing our ambassador network to inspire local action at scale.
