Port Macquarie Surfing Museum is a volunteer run organisation in Port Macquarie, NSW. They currently have a shop museum in the local Port Central shopping centre and have also acquired a parcel of land via the Port Macquarie Hastings Council EOI of crown lands. They currently have submitted a proposal to build a permanent Surfing History Museum which will be a showpiece of surfing & beach culture. This new facility will incorporate a meeting place kiosk, meeting room hire, surfboard hire, and lessons to create sustainable funding. Once the building proposal is approved, they will seek funding for construction and future opportunities at the new Museum.
