Rawcus Theatre Company

Rawcus is an award-winning ensemble of 14 artists with and without disability. For over 26 years they have been making and presenting inclusive art works and experiences. They’re widely recognised as leaders in inclusive art making and providing opportunities for diverse artists and arts workers to participate in the arts. They empower disabled people by providing platforms to showcase their talents in the public realm and for audiences to experience the creativity and talents of disabled artists.

Their vision is to be a national leader in inclusive arts practices, creating innovative and audacious cultural experiences that uplift and connect diverse
communities.

Their mission is to create exceptional, inclusive art formed from the diverse minds, bodies and imaginations of the Rawcus Ensemble.

There are still too few opportunities for people with disability to participate in the arts. Rawcus is known for both the quality of the work they make and present, and also for their innovations in addressing barriers to arts participation by ensuring that all their work is accessible for the artists and audiences alike.
