Regenerate supports families rebuilding their lives after fleeing family and domestic violence. Our vision is a future where every family leaving violence can rebuild their lives in a safe, stable and dignified home. Our mission is to restore dignity, stability and hope by transforming empty houses into fully established homes for women and children transitioning from crisis accommodation into safe housing along with establishing a Children’s Activities Fund.

Each year thousands of women and children leave violent homes with few possessions. After a period in crisis accommodation, many move into long-term housing that is completely empty and lacking essential household items. This stage of recovery is one of the most vulnerable; families are managing trauma, financial hardship and the practical challenges of rebuilding their lives. Without support, establishing a functional home can take weeks or months, prolonging stress and instability.

Regenerate addresses this critical gap by providing brand-new, laundered and fully assembled bedding and essential household items, ensuring families can walk into a safe and functional home immediately. By removing the burden of sourcing and assembling basic necessities, our model allows parents and children to focus on stabilisation, recovery and rebuilding routine. This dignity-centred approach aligns with trauma-informed practice and helps accelerate the transition from crisis to safety.

Our current priorities are to expand the number of families we support each year, strengthen partnerships with referral agencies, and build a diversified philanthropic funding base.
