The Formal Project Bloom started in 2019 in the Founders’ home by providing formal clothing to one child who was to attend their school formal, and the base function of the organisation was, and is, to provide free formal wear to those graduating years 6, 10 and 12. Moving operations from their home to premises in Minto, The Formal Project Bloom is now operating out of the Heritage Building at 263 Queen Street, Campbelltown.
The Formal Project Bloom’s mission is to provide free support to children, families, and seniors within the community by delivering a selection of quality donated clothing and other items for sale through their Op Shop. The proceeds go towards operational costs and funding their programs of providing free clothing, meals and pantry items, and personal supplies to single mothers, people experiencing domestic violence, the homeless, and those in financial difficulty on a non-discriminatory basis that offers them dignity and improved self-worth, together with providing free clothing to people for job interviews, suitable work attire, and children graduating in Years 6, 10 and 12, so that No Child is Left Behind.
