Organisation Summary

The Mini Farm Project Ltd is a registered Australian charity working to end hunger by building a network of charity farms that grow fresh, nutritious food for Australians in need. Our vision is a Queensland, and an Australia where no one goes hungry.

Over 3.7 million Australian households experience food insecurity, with many unable to access fresh, healthy produce. At the same time, regional youth face barriers to education and employment. The Mini Farm Project addresses both challenges by creating farms that feed people, train young people, and strengthen communities.

Since 2014, we have established two successful charity farms at Samford and Loganlea State High School, growing over 70,000 meals to date. Our proven model combines social enterprise and community collaboration to ensure long-term sustainability. Each farm partners with charities like Meals on Wheels, OzHarvest, and FareShare to distribute produce where it’s needed most.

Our priority is developing the 10-acre Youth Training Farm at Woodstock, which will grow 150,000 meals per year, train 40 young people annually, and employ local staff. Funding will directly support infrastructure, staffing, and youth training programs.
