The Outpost is a community organisation servicing the Greater Geelong region, providing food relief, connection, and essential support to people experiencing homelessness and socio-economic disadvantage.

While nutritious food is often the first point of contact, The Outpost is much more than a meal service — it is a lifeline that reaches beyond the plate.

In 2024–2025, The Outpost reimagined its Vision, Purpose, and Values, shifting from a service-centred model of Dignity, Choice and Respect to a guest-centric approach grounded in Awesome People, Yummy Food, and Homely Vibes. This shift places lived experience, dignity, and belonging at the centre of everything we do.

Operating 365 days a year, The Outpost is the only evening food relief provider in Greater Geelong, delivering hot, nourishing meals and warm drinks every night, alongside lunch services three days per week.

Guests can also access essential items that restore dignity, including sanitary and hygiene products, food vouchers, sleeping bags and Backpack Beds, a fresh fruit pantry, and a secure mobile phone charging station.

The service has zero barriers to entry and is no-questions-asked, ensuring anyone can access support without judgment or eligibility requirements.

Serving over 62,000 meals and drinks in the past financial year through our café-style outreach, The Outpost supports men, women, families, and displaced people. Demand continues to grow, increasing by 21% each year.
