Coolum Men's Shed
We are an inclusive, community-based, not for profit organisation and welcome all men over 18 years of age.
Our primary objective is to advance social inclusion and assist the health, well-being of all members by providing a safe, friendly and welcoming environment. We are a special place where members are able to join in and participate with the many small and interesting projects or bring in their own projects. Craft at any skill level, in their own time and learn from the vast experience within the shed
Project Summary
The Coolum Men’s Shed has numerous activities for men, who come 3 days each week to meet and engage in activities that inspire them and create a beneficial result for their engagement.
Currently the building is made of metal and the partially disabled members who come for art classes, do not have an adequate cooling environment, to sustain their ability to remain engaged. We need an air-conditioned environment for our art room.
Project Outcomes
Attendees at the art classes will increase in the warmer months, where the environment is acceptably cool and vice vers in the colder months.
Increased attendances by those who frequent the art classes and enjoy the time together in their pursuits.
Project can be reported through a web-based confirmation of completion. Invoices, images and that all applicable administrative actions and all required work of the grant award have been completed and confirm that we have taken actions as described.
Ongoing utilities expenditure will be borne by the Coolum Men’s Shed, as part of their General Budget expenditure.
