Project Summary

Through the Big Dreams Project, we will establish educational programs and resources in underserved Nepal communities. These programs will offer a holistic approach to education, including access to the academic curriculum, life skills training, psychosocial support, and monitoring.

Our project will prioritise and support children separated from their families and displaced into orphanages. We aim to shatter the cycle of poverty and unleash the full potential of these children despite the trauma of family separation for which they bear no fault.

Additionally, we will implement a scholarship program in particular circumstances where appropriate to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent children from attending higher education and achieving their goals. Big Dreams Project will consider vocational training for children where formal schooling is no longer an option.

‘Big Dreams’ is more than just an educational initiative; it is a beacon of hope for vulnerable children in Nepal. Through this project, we envision a future where every child can pursue their dreams and build a brighter tomorrow for themselves and their communities.

Project Outcomes

The Project aims to break the cycle of poverty and provide life-changing opportunities by ensuring access to quality education. Our overarching goal is to empower these children to reach their full potential and become active contributors to their communities and society. We will know we have achieved our objectives through qualitative and quantitative measures:
- Enrolment and Attendance: Increased enrolment rates and consistent attendance will indicate improved access.
- Academic Performance: Monitoring academic performance through standardised tests and assessments in cooperation with schools will allow us to track improvement in learning outcomes, ensuring that children receive a quality education.
- Graduation and Transition Rates: Higher graduation rates and successful transitions to higher education or vocational training will signify the project's impact in equipping children with the skills and knowledge they need for future success.
- Socio-emotional Well-being: Assessing socio-emotional well-being through a survey and evaluation process will help us gauge improvements in self-esteem, resilience, and social skills among participating children, indicating holistic development beyond academic achievements. 5. Community Engagement: Increased engagement and support from parents, caregivers, and community members in children's education will demonstrate the project's effectiveness in fostering a supportive educational environment.

By regularly monitoring these indicators and collecting feedback from stakeholders, we will be able to assess the project's impact, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that we are effectively meeting their needs. Our success will be measured by the tangible improvements in the lives of the children we serve and their increased opportunities to achieve their dreams.
