CanSurvive Research Association Inc. is an organisation primarily established to make available to the public detailed information, literature and supportive advice in the field of non-invasive cancer therapies.
We produce and regularly distribute an information magazine which offers support and encouragement, knowledge, strength, and personal empowerment for those on the path to healing the body: holistically and non-invasively.

We also conduct regular seminars and workshops, which are organised throughout the year for members of the public and the CanSurvive membership. The speakers both local and National [sometime International] are well known in their field of expertise to ensure these events are educational and motivational for those attending.

We have a membership-based model of contributors who receive significant benefits in the areas of the latest health and wellbeing research, discounts on products and therapies, and linkages to preferred providers of complimentary medicines and therapies.

As our organisation has been providing these services for over 20 years we have accumulated significant library of resources which the public and members can access from our office or online. We are predominantly operated by volunteers who give willingly of their time, skill, and knowledge to provide support to those seeking information, assurance, and expanded choices. Following the recent pandemic the community is becoming more informed on their health status and choosing to seek out complimentary care and services to ensure they make the most of the options available to them. CanSurvive is just one of those organisation providing access to more informed choices.

Project Summary

The CanSurvive Expo is an opportunity for over thirty charitable organisations to showcase their unique talents, services, and products to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and the community overall. The Expo will also host keynote local and national speakers presenting on a range of topics on current and emerging health issues. These speakers will be supported by a selection of local individual charities with an intention for them to amplify community awareness.

The benefits of this event include:

– Significant public exposure for many smaller charities, elevating their capacity to build sustainable memberships and awareness of their organisation;

– Opportunity for revenue generation through sales and contributions;

– The value of having all these organisations in one location brings opportunities for collaboration, building volunteerism, and creating synergies through shared knowledge.

The intention is to hold this initial expo as a one-day event, and grow the event into a two-day event in the second and subsequent years. The marketing of the speakers and organisations presenting along with the capacity for sales of product, seminars and education of health and wellbeing will generate significant interest in the community and surrounding regions.

We are seeking seed funding, which as the catalyst for developing an ongoing long-term viable investment in the communities health & wellbeing – and thereby delivering a significant and sustainable return on that investment.

Project Outcomes

Our planned Health and Wellbeing Expo for the Sunshine Coast will offer invaluable benefits to communities often underserved in health and wellbeing resources. This event will serve as a platform for education, providing vital information on preventive care, nutrition, mental health, and fitness.

Attendees will gain access to health screenings, consultations, and resources that might otherwise be scarce in regional areas. Additionally, the expo will foster community engagement, encouraging networking among care providers, local businesses, and residents. The expo will promote holistic well-being by showcasing complimentary therapies and sustainable living practices.

The true longer-term value is through empowering individuals to take proactive steps towards healthier lifestyles. Our expo will contribute to reducing healthcare disparities and improving overall quality of life in regional Queensland. Moreover, it will play a pivotal role in raising awareness about local health initiatives and resources, fostering a culture of health-consciousness and resilience within these communities.

We will know we've achieved our outcomes by asking people and measuring the number of people who attend the event and participating in screenings, consultations, attend seminars, speaking and educational presentations. The impact on the individual’s health is more long-term and therefore difficult to quantify immediately.

Furthermore, we will assess the feedback and measure the results that each participating organisation experiences both during and after the expo. These will be critical baseline statistics in determining our reach, connection, and impact on the individual and the participating care provider.
