We are Australia’s leading climate advocacy organisation for parents, carers, families and all who care about a safe future for kids.
We educate and empower our supporters to make the climate safer for every child. Founded in 2019 by six regional, rural and urban mums in four states and territories, we've grown rapidly to fill a critical gap in the climate movement. We are a parent organisation, run by parents for parents.

Locally active and nationally connected. With over 23,000 supporters, and local groups in every state and territory, we represent families from across the political spectrum, in every Australian electorate, and from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
We are proudly non-partisan, solutions focused and we create inclusive, collaborative and safe spaces for parents to be empowered as climate advocates. Our political independence and relationship-building approach gives us the power to engage with all sides to build long-term cross-partisan support for climate solutions.
We have established ourselves as the first point of entry for parents new to climate action, as well as the home of thousands of seasoned parent-advocates - many of whom started their journey with us. We make climate action possible and attractive for millions of parents who are too busy or hesitant to join other climate groups.
Project Summary
The 2025 federal election could determine climate policy for a generation. Parents for Climate has a plan to ensure that the next parliament acts on climate by targeting parents in key marginal electorates with effective messages, actions and events – connecting climate action to cost of living solutions, and demonstrating public support for solutions directly with candidates. Our campaign will prime and mobilise key audiences to voice their support through their networks particularly in focus electorates where climate is a key issue.
We know that parents, particularly mums, are critical persuadable climate voters in recent elections. Parents for Climate has conducted message research, independent testing on our latest creative, as well as a trusted brand and deep networks to deliver a significant impact on demonstrating support for climate policy in key seats.
Project Outcomes
Our project aims to
- Strengthen support for ambitious climate policies, ensuring the next parliament represents the climate concerns of millions of parents.
- Climate framed as a key election issue for all parties to prioritise in order to win key seats.
- Building a parent-climate movement for democratic action into the next term of parliament.
Our goal is to inspire one million climate conversations in parent group chats and with candidates to boost support for ambitious climate policy in critical locations before, during and after the election.
With further support, we plan to scale the impact of our impactful ad campaign, build and mobilise an engaged audience to raise their voice in their community, and conduct parent-focused events to platform climate and cost of living solutions.
