Australian Communities Foundation (ACF) is proud to announce the launch of our 2026–28 Strategy, building on nearly three decades of impact and setting out our vision for a thriving and inclusive Australia.
For almost 30 years, ACF has helped people give more effectively to communities across the country. This strategy continues that legacy while charting a bold path forward.
“Our 2026–28 Strategy is a roadmap for how we grow, connect, inspire, and deepen our impact,” said Fiona McLeay, Chair of the Foundation. “It reaffirms our purpose: to support our vibrant community of philanthropists with Australia’s best giving solutions, and to continue unlocking funds for meaningful change.”
Over the next three years, ACF will focus on three key pillars:
- Growing Australia’s most trusted and accessible public foundation, activating a vibrant giving community
- Connecting people to purpose through innovative pathways for giving and collaboration
- Inspiring best-practice philanthropy that uplifts people, protects the planet, and strengthens place
“Our strategy commits us to expanding pathways to effective giving, investing for impact, mobilising the next generation, and partnering for systemic change,” said Andrew Binns, CEO. “We will champion thoughtful, strategic philanthropy and advocate for reforms that strengthen Australia’s giving ecosystem.
“This strategy is more than a plan – it’s a call to action for our giving community and for anyone ready to start their giving journey,” Andrew added. “Together, we can help shape a future where hope, opportunity and belonging are shared by all. A future shaped by collective action, courageous philanthropy, and community-led change.
“As we look ahead, we invite our community and sector partners to connect with us in growing and inspiring giving – working together for a more just, equitable, and sustainable Australia.”
