What is corporate and workplace giving?
Corporate giving or philanthropy refers to an organisation’s support of charities and the wider community. Workplace giving, a type of corporate giving, allows employees to contribute to causes through payroll deductions, fundraising or matched donations. Australian Communities Foundation supports organisations focused on company-led corporate giving, workplace giving programs, or a combination of both.
When you open a Corporate and Workplace Fund with us, all contributions are responsibly invested, and our team can support you to give in line with your organisation’s mission and values. We also provide ongoing support for organisations with an existing Fund or Foundation through ACF Advisory.

Corporate Funds can also be established as Private Foundations. If you choose to establish a Foundation instead of a Fund, you manage your investments independently, cannot accept public donations, and establishment time is 6–12 weeks. Talk to us about establishing a Foundation.

Make a tax-deductible donation to establish your Fund, and encourage donations from your team if pursuing workplace giving. We can also assist your organisation in setting up pre-tax donations and provide advice on workplace giving approaches such as matched funding.

Build your balance
Your organisation and/or employees make additional donations at any time and invite others to contribute. Returns from responsible investments are applied to the balance of your Fund.
