Following Women Deliver 2026, we brought together sector leaders to share insights and reflect on the challenges and opportunities for gender equality – and philanthropy’s role in driving systemic change.
Joined by Julie Reilly OAM, CEO of Australian Investing in Women (AIIW), Nayomi Kannangara, CEO of International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA), and Renee Cremer, CEO of Community First Development, the discussion highlighted both the urgency of the moment and the opportunity before us. While significant challenges remain, there is growing momentum to strengthen investment in gender equality and support the people and movements driving change.

- The International Women’s Development Agency works to advance gender equality for all, primarily in Asia and the Pacific, including through its leadership in the ResourceFULL Collective – a collaboration of feminist organisations driving transformative change. - Community First Development partners with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to achieve self-determined goals, including through projects focused on women and girls. - Finally, at Women Deliver, Australian Communities Foundation joined a new Coalition of Funders for Women and Families, with a shared focus on funding women’s leadership and tackling family violence. The coalition is already supporting organisations such as Good Shepherd and will continue to identify opportunities to co-fund more collaborative approaches across the sector.
