ChangeFest21NT

ChangeFest is a national celebration of place based social change.

Part forum, part festival; ChangeFest is a gathering of citizens, social workers, academics, creative practitioners, business leaders, politicians and policymakers to explore new ways of working together and learning from each other.

It’s for people who share a vision of a future for Australia where all communities thrive, regardless of the postcode, where all children have a safe home, are healthy, are educated and have a strong sense of identity and belonging

The first ChangeFest event took place in Logan Queensland in 2018 where First Nations people rewrote the proposed policy document informed by the Uluru Statement from the Heart. ChangeFest19 was hosted at Kimberwalli, Mount Druitt, in the heart of Western Sydney. The event was disrupted and evacuated due to the Sydney bush fires that led to a devastating summer for many Australian communities. Following Covid19 ChangeFestNT21 is set to progress these urgent conversations as everyone continues to respond dynamically to ongoing crisis.

Place based social change is leading systems change in Australia with First Nations people at the centre and in key communities across the world.  People everywhere are looking for new solutions to meet the significant challenges in our communities to create a more equitable and sustainable future.

Attending ChangeFest will provide insights, workshops, space for big ideas, opportunities to share practice and be inspired to strengthen your networks, practice, work on policy and resolve for change.
