Climate Council Book Club

Every three weeks, the Climate Council is hosting an online discussion with prominent Councillors, experts, scientists and members of the community, breaking down the books and films loved by Australians, and taking a deep dive into the issues facing the climate movement as a whole.

Next up on 27 May is the documentary film 2040 by Damon Gameau, featuring a discussion with Damon, actor Yael Stone and Climate Council CEO Amanda McKenzie. Click here to register.

In the Climate Council’s first online book club, Amanda McKenzie and Tim Flannery discussed the book ‘The Future We Choose’, by Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac on April 15. Catch up on the discussion below.

The second meeting of the Climate Council Online Book Club explored On Hope by Daisy Jeffrey. Daisy Jeffrey is one of the lead organisers of the Australian School Strike 4 Climate. In On Hope, Daisy examines how ordinary people are fighting back and demanding we address climate change to help save our planet. Daisy was joined by Climate Councillor Professor Lesley Hughes and former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
