The combined work of Truth-Telling and Treatymaking will mark the transition to a new era in Victoria, signalling a unique opportunity for First Nations People and their Allies to build understanding and momentum to support First Nations Self-Determination.

With 30 years of experience across community development, education, native title, cultural heritage, tourism and Indigenous nation building, Damein leads First Peoples’ Assembly in their journey towards Treaty in Victoria.

Travis Lovett, Proud Kerrupmara/Gunditjmara man + Commissioner, Yoorrook Justice Commission
Travis has spent his life advocating for truth and justice for First Peoples. He has held senior leadership roles in the Victorian Public Service, including as Executive Director and Acting Deputy Secretary, First Peoples State Relations at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. He played a key role in supporting Victoria to progress and implement Truth-Telling and Treaty.
