Genovation Ltd Genovation Ltd

Genovation Ltd is a not-for-profit disability support organisation based in Oran Park, NSW. Founded by a family with lived experience, Genovation was created to provide safe, fun, and person-centred care for young adults with disabilities—particularly those transitioning from school to greater independence.

At the heart of Genovation’s service model is the Young Adult Enrichment Program (YAEP), a dynamic day program designed to build life skills, confidence, and social inclusion. Participants engage in a range of community-based and centre-based activities including hydrotherapy, cooking, gym sessions, creative arts, excursions, and more. Each program is tailored to individual goals, aligning with NDIS plans and built around the strengths and preferences of each participant.

Genovation also delivres school holiday programs, weekend outings, and tailored 1:1 support, providing a vital support system for both participants and their families. The organisation places strong emphasis on respectful communication, empowering relationships, and the consistent application of person-centred active support.

Registered with the ACNC and endorsed as a DGR Item 1 charity, Genovation is committed to sustainable, high-quality disability care. Its values—empathy, respect, inclusion, empowerment, and collaboration—are lived daily by a dedicated team of support workers and community connectors.

Genovation continues to grow in response to local need, with plans to expand its impact across the Macarthur and Western Sydney regions. Its vision is clear: to create a supportive, inclusive environment where young adults with disabilities can thrives, build lasting connections, and lead meaningful, independent lives.

Project Summary

Genovation Ltd seeks funding to expand its flagship initiative, the Young Adult Enrichment Program (YAEP). A dynamic, community-based day program supporting young adults with disabilities in the Western Sydney region of NSW.

YAEP offers a safe, inclusive environment where participants develop essential life skills, build social connections, and grow in confidence. Daily activities include hydrotherapy, cooking, creative arts, community excursions, and independent living tasks. These are all tailored to individual NDIS goals and support needs. At the heart of this program is Gabriella (our daughter, whose journey has inspired the creation of meaningful, empowering spaces for others like her.

Due to growing demand and limited capacity, Genovation plans to scale the program across nearby LGAs, increasing access for more young people with disabilities. This project will support the hiring and training of qualified staff, enhancement of program resources, and expansion into additional venues to accommodate a broader participant base.

Genovation is a registered charity with DGR Item 1 status, led by a passionate team with lived experience. We are committed to creating a more inclusive future—one in which every young adult with a disability has the opportunity to thrive, grow, and connect.

Project Outcomes

The expansion of Genovation Ltd’s Young Adult Enrichment Program (YAEP) is expected to deliver measurable and meaningful outcomes for young adults with disabilities, their families, and the wider community.

1. Increased Access and Participation
Up to 50 additional young adults will gain access to structured, person-centred support services in the Penrith and surrounding regions. This includes individuals currently on waitlists or underserved due to geographic or capacity limitations.

2. Improved Life and Social Skills
Participants will experience improved independence through tailored activities such as cooking, budgeting, personal care, and public transport training. Social confidence and communication skills will be enhanced through regular community outings, peer engagement, and group activities.

3. Strengthened Family Support and Respite
Families and carers will benefit from reliable, high-quality day support, easing pressure on informal support networks and reducing carer burnout. This contributes to the overall sustainability of care arrangements at home.

4. Community Integration
By forging partnerships with local businesses, recreation centres, and cultural organisations, participants will build meaningful connections outside their immediate circles—promoting inclusion and reducing social isolation.

5. Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
Regular feedback, skill progression tracking, and community engagement metrics will be used to evaluate outcomes, ensure quality, and guide future service enhancements.

This project empowers individuals while uplifting the broader need within the community.
