Dyson Community Grants 2025

Dyson Community Grants seek to enhance community wellbeing within the communities that Dyson Group serves in Victoria, with a focus on migrant communities, people with disability, women and girls, and those facing economic hardship.

 Grants of between $1,000 and $2,000 are available for community groups and sporting clubs for the purchase or provision of tangible resources or equipment.

Grants of between $2,000 and $5,000 are available for community programs, events, training or services (inclusive of any equipment or resource costs).

Dysons, a family business with over 70 years of history, operates Metropolitan, Regional, School, and Charter bus services across Victoria. We take great pride in being an integral part of the communities we serve. Dyson Group provides funding for community resources and initiatives that have a tangible and positive impact amongst those experiencing disadvantage in the Victorian communities that Dyson Group serves. We firmly believe that communities know best what they need to thrive. We champion initiatives that are led by community, for the good of the community. 

Dyson Giving Fund is a Named Fund at Australian Communities Foundation.

Guidelines

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a grant, your organisation should meet the following criteria:

  • Be, or be auspiced by, an incorporated not-for-profit conducting activities with charitable purposes, and
  • Be based within or deliver the majority of your activities within a 10km radius of a metropolitan Dyson Group depot or within a 50km radius of a regional Dyson Group depot. To confirm if you meet this criteria, please check our website here.

Dyson Group will not consider funding for:

  • Individuals
  • Activities that are partisan or religious in nature
  • Retrospective activities (activities that have already occurred)
  • Fundraising support for an organisation
  • Capital works that do not directly support community wellbeing
  • Sporting activities that do not also have a focus on alleviating disadvantage.

General conditions

The funds available for each round are limited and it is likely that not all applications will receive funding.

Dyson Group may choose to offer part funding to an applicant at our discretion.

Applications received after the closing date of a round will be held over until the next round of funding.

Organisations will be asked to acknowledge the Dyson Group as the source of funding wherever practical including media releases and any communications to members.

Dyson Group reserves the right to publish in any public forum, including the media, the results of each funding round, including the details of successful grant applicants.

Applications for the 2025 Grant Round open at 9am AEST on Thursday, July 3, 2025 and close at 11.59pm AEST on Sunday July 27, 2025. 

To submit an application, create a profile or login to the Australian Communities Foundation Grants Portal. Enter the access code DCG25 to start your application.
