Grantseeking

What is grantseeking?

Grantseeking is the process of searching for and finding financial support from a grantmaker, usually for a community organisation, cause, or other social enterprise.

Grants are most often distributed for specific projects or programs (rather than to support an organisation generally). Grantseeking therefore usually involves providing clear details on how the funds will be used.

Our approach to grantseeking

We offer grantseekers the opportunity to submit funding proposals via our website. Approved proposals are published to our Granting Opportunities directory and shared with our community of givers.

Head to Seeking Funding for everything you need to know about submitting a proposal.

Useful resources

The following resources have been collated by our Philanthropic Services Team as useful starting points for building your grantseeking capacity.

Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) is the national peak body representing professional fundraising in Australia. FIA champions and facilitates best practice through professional development, networking and advocacy.

The Funding Centre (Our Community)
