Australian Film Television and Radio School is the premier educational institution providing training for the screen and audio industries. We have students from all over the country, many of whom struggle to afford relocation to the campus in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
To help those from remote regions, we raise funds to provide scholarships to indigenous students to help with airfares and to subsidise rent. These scholarships range from $3,000 to $10,00 per year and go entirely to the student, not the school. some recipients undertake a one year course and others may be helped for their two and three year courses.
The funds are paid to the students semester by semester and are conditional on continuing study. The funds are not used for the school’s tuition fees which the student must cover themselves.
