For 20 years, the Australian Melanoma Research Foundation has been committed to our mission to fund research towards the prevention, early detection and treatment of melanoma. 1 in 3 Australian’s will experience skin cancer in their lifetime and melanoma is the most dangerous, with 1 person dying every 6 hours.
To date, we have funded 30 research projects at 24 different institutions to the value of over $500k. With your support, we are able to fund Australia’s next great minds and accelerate science to stop Australia’s national cancer.
Priority is given to innovative research with the potential for high impact, near-term clinical application for melanoma prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Funds are only used for the direct costs of the research and not for institutional overheads, infrastructure or other indirect costs. Named grants are available for donations over $50,000 to honour a loved one, community group or organisation impacted by melanoma.
Behind every research breakthrough is someone who chose to help. Every dollar brings us closer to a future without melanoma.
