Organisation Summary

Be Hers is a Hobart-based initiative working to restore hope, dignity, and freedom to women from multicultural, migrant, refugee, and at-risk backgrounds who have experienced modern slavery, violence, and systemic exploitation. Through our Be Hers Hub and Dream Again Mentoring Programs, we offer holistic, trauma-informed support that empowers women to reclaim agency over their lives and futures.
With a strong emphasis on transitional and wrap-around care, our programs focus on long-term recovery, healing, and empowerment. We aim not only to assist women in escaping exploitative environments but also to equip them with the tools, networks, and confidence needed to rebuild a self-directed life.
The Hobart-based Be Hers Hub serves as a pilot model, demonstrating the power of community-driven, survivor-informed support. Our vision is to see a Be Hers Hub in every state and territory across Australia, creating safe, empowering spaces for vulnerable women nationwide.

Vision:
To use our freedom to fight for the freedom of others, freedom is a right all should have. Together we can effect change, one person at a time.
A world where every woman, regardless of background or past experiences, can live free from exploitation and achieve a life of dignity, safety, and purpose.

Mission:
Through awareness, prevention programs, social enterprise, collaboration and partnerships, we will generate change locally to see slavery end globally.
Empowering everyday people to make a stand against the injustice of slavery and exploitation.
