Be One Collective Aboriginal Corporation is a First Nations-led organisation creating culturally grounded opportunities that strengthen identity, connection, leadership and self-determination for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Their work responds to the need for Aboriginal communities, particularly young people and families, to have access to programs designed through culture rather than systems. They bring together cultural knowledge holders, community leaders, young people and partner organisations to create practical opportunities for cultural learning, community connection, leadership development and exchange.

Their current priorities include strengthening cultural identity and belonging for young people, supporting intergenerational knowledge sharing, developing First Nations-led approaches to prevention and community wellbeing, and building relationships between Indigenous communities locally, nationally and internationally.

A key priority is the development of cultural exchange opportunities between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in Australia and Māori communities in Aotearoa New Zealand. These experiences enable young people to learn alongside another living Indigenous culture, strengthen their understanding of identity and leadership, and build enduring relationships across communities.

Funding will reduce financial barriers to participation and help ensure that young people who may otherwise never have access to these opportunities can participate meaningfully, safely and with strong cultural support.
