At Bible Society Australia, our vision is to make the Bible accessible for all, with the purpose to see God transform lives through his Word. Our mission is to equip people with the Bible through translation, distribution, Bible-based support and advocacy. Working in Australia and through trusted global partnerships, we provide Scriptures, Bible-based resources and programs that bring hope, literacy, wellbeing and spiritual support to people of all ages and backgrounds.

We address the ongoing challenge of Bible poverty, where people lack access to Scripture in a language, format or context they can understand, as well as the growing need for hope, resilience and connection in communities facing social isolation, disadvantage and crisis. We are uniquely placed to do this work through more than 200 years of experience, and our strong partnership with churches, ministries, like-minded organisations, and Bible Societies around the world.

Our current priorities include translating the Bible into Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, supporting people in underprivileged areas through Bible distribution and Bible-based literacy programs, providing Scripture resources to equip chaplains and parachurch organisations working in hospitals, prisons and the Australian Defence Force.

Funding will strengthen our organisational capacity, broaden the reach of our Bible mission work, and enable us to respond to emerging community needs. Each year, Bible Society Australia reaches hundreds of thousands of people with God’s Word, helping individuals and communities encounter God’s message of love, hope, and lasting transformation.
