Bob Brown Foundation is an independent environmental campaigning organisation, dedicated to protecting wild places and wildlife. We take direct action on the frontlines, stop destruction through the courts and conduct critical science to save habitat for threatened species like the critically endangered Swift Parrot.
Our defiant and effective campaigns taking Action for Earth include:
- Ending native forest logging: We’re fighting to end destructive native forest logging permanently across the country.
- Protecting Takayna: Australia’s largest temperate rainforest is at risk from mining, logging and off-road vehicle damage. We’re calling for permanent protection as a World Heritage listed National Park, returned to Aboriginal ownership.
- Defending Antarctica: We are fighting to protect this last great wilderness from industrial fishing, global heating and other human activities.
- Fish farms out now: Toxic salmon farms are destroying Tasmania’s marine ecosystems. We’re campaigning for their urgent and complete removal.
In the words of our founder Bob Brown, “We’re up against it at the moment, but history is full of episodes where people stood against a tide that was wrong and changed it.”
