BCPRI is a dedicated community group working to protect and save abused and abandoned pets across the Whitsundays region.
Our mission is to:
Rescue and Rehome: Save dogs and cats who have been abandoned or surrendered, and provide foster care, desexing, vaccination, microchipping, worming, and adoption into loving homes.
Promote Responsible Pet Ownership: Educate the community on the importance of proper pet care and commitment.
Support Struggling Pet Owners: Provide free help to low income families and individuals facing hardship, illness, mental health issues, or isolation (including Covid related). We deliver food, parasite prevention, exercise, bedding and more to keep pets safe and in their homes.
Affordable Veterinary Care Offer heavily discounted desexing and vaccinations to eligible concession card holders, to help ensure all pets are cared for, regardless of their owner’s financial situation.
Together, we can build a more compassionate community for animals and people alike.
