Organisation Summary

Chupis is a women led, community driven health promotion charity dedicated to advancing menstrual health equity for girls and women across Australia. Our work centres First Nations communities, young people, and those living in poverty who face systemic barriers to accessing menstrual education, hygiene products, and culturally safe health information.

Chupis delivers culturally appropriate menstrual health education across multiple age groups, from early adolescence through adulthood, with programs designed to empower girls with knowledge about their bodies, hygiene, consent, and wellbeing. Our resources are trauma-informed, strengths-based, and co-designed to reflect the lived experiences of the communities we serve.

In addition to education, Chupis provides reusable menstrual products and hygiene packs, reducing period poverty while promoting sustainability and long-term health outcomes. Our period underwear and educational materials feature artwork commissioned from First Nations artists, ensuring cultural representation while creating ethical, once-off paid opportunities for Aboriginal creatives.

All funding received by Chupis is reinvested directly into community programs, education delivery, and product distribution. As a small but growing organisation, we prioritise grassroots partnerships, community leadership, and measurable impact. We’re working toward a future where no girl or woman misses out on education, health, or dignity because of her period.
