Collingwood Children’s Farm is a not-for-profit charity. The purpose of the Farm is to improve the lives of children, the disadvantaged, disabled, unemployed and marginalised persons within the Victorian community by providing inclusive services and support to build independence and quality of life for children and disadvantaged persons.
We are responsible for the upkeep of 8 hectares of the Crown land reserve, 1 km of which are along the Yarra river. We receive no ongoing operating funding from the government and rely on Farm entry fees, school tours, corporate volunteering and donations to look after the Farm and 10 animal species (over 150 animals in total) – from horses, cows, goats, sheep to guinea pigs and chickens.
We have a weekly volunteering program for those seeking to help us run the Farm.
