Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) is an environmental not-for-profit dedicated to putting conservation in the hands of everyone, strengthening both environmental and human wellbeing.

By restoring and protecting ecosystems on land and under water, CVA helps create healthier environments, stronger communities, and greater climate resilience. Guided by the UN 2030 Agenda, the Global Goal for Nature, and the Australian Government’s 30×30 biodiversity pledge, we take action to slow climate change and protect life on Earth. For over 40 years, CVA has focused on biodiversity restoration across oceans, wetlands, rivers, and landscapes, planting more than 20 million trees and counting.

Today, we draw on four decades of data-driven conservation expertise to design practical initiatives that minimise nature loss and build environmental resilience.

CVA’s action-oriented programs also deliver powerful social benefits. Australians experience greater wellbeing through connection with nature and with each other, and our projects help restore natural habitats while fostering physical, mental, and social health. In line with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, we work to ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for people of all ages by inspiring nature stewardship.
