Disability and Youth Communities Ltd (DAYC) is a Queensland-based Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR Item 1) and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). DAYC is incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001 (ACN 665 372 252) and is based in Nerang on the Gold Coast.
DAYC exists to change the trajectory of young people, people with disabilities, and marginalised communities so that they face fewer barriers to living a fuller life. Our services are delivered free of charge or at low cost to people genuinely in need — including those facing disability, mental health and psychosocial challenges, financial hardship, social isolation, cultural discrimination, and housing instability.
Our core services include disability advocacy and NDIS navigation support, educational workshops for individuals and families, professional education for health and allied health practitioners, academic scholarships for children with disabilities, and community participation programs. Our team brings direct lived experience of disability and marginalisation, which shapes every aspect of how we design and deliver support.
DAYC is governed by an independent Board of Directors, operates under the ACNC Governance Standards, and holds income tax exemption, GST concession, and FBT exemption status.
