EHE Rare Cancer Foundation Australia

We are a patient-centred, national, not-for-profit, health promotion charity, established for the purposes of promoting the prevention, control and cure of Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma (EHE) – an ultra-rare vascular sarcoma (and disease model of YAP/TAZ-Driven Cancers more broadly).

We offer people affected by EHE hope for improved disease management, treatment and ultimately a cure, and serve as a means for driving positive changes in care, quality of life outcomes and survival for EHE patients, present and future, whilst honouring those no longer with us.

Under the banner of the ‘EHE Group’, we work in partnership with sister EHE organisations around the world (USA, UK, Canada, and Italy) as part of a global change movement dedicated to addressing the needs of people affected by EHE in 75+ countries.

Through our work we strive to become world leaders in consumer involvement and participation, and support improvements in prevention and control of other sarcomas, rare cancers, and cancer more broadly.

Our key activities include:
– Awareness, Advocacy and Partnering within the rare cancer, sarcoma and EHE communities.
– Fundraising and Sponsorship of support initiatives and research programs.
– Consumer (patient and carer) and related Stakeholder (medical healthcare professional and researcher) Support.
– Research and Clinical Development, including the development, facilitation and leading of research into EHE.

With broader community support for further research, we can create the necessary changes to save lives!
