Everybody’s Home is the national campaign dedicated to fixing Australia’s housing crisis. Launched in 2018 by a coalition of housing, homelessness and welfare organisations to tackle the systemic drivers of housing insecurity and inequality, the campaign has grown to over 500 organisations, businesses and councils, and more than 43,000 individuals across Australia with the shared vision of ensuring everyone has access to a safe, affordable and decent home.
Everybody’s Home Policy Platform
- Ensure everyone has access to a safe, decent and affordable home by building social housing
- Prioritise people over profits by resetting the tax system
- Guarantee greater security for renters by ensuring a consistent minimum set of basic rights in Australian renting laws
- Provide immediate relief to people in housing stress by increasing and expanding Rent Assistance
- End homelessness within a decade by tackling the systemic drivers
Everybody’s Home is auspiced by the Council to Homeless Persons, which administers donations on behalf of Everybody’s Home. Tax-deductible receipts for donations will be issued by Council to Homeless Persons.
