Faraja Inclusion Agency is a community-driven organisation dedicated to supporting diverse and marginalised communities in Western Melbourne. Through culturally responsive programs, Faraja empowers individuals to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
Our Focus Areas:
– Mental Health & Wellbeing: providing culturally appropriate support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges through initiatives like the Faraja Mental Health Program.
– Youth Empowerment & Early Intervention: engaging young people from diverse backgrounds through case management, mentorship, education, and skill-building programs such as Umoja.
– Knife Crime Prevention – Karibu Early Intervention Program: addressing the rising issue of knife crime among young people in Melbourne’s West by providing early intervention, case management, mentorship, conflict resolution training, and alternative pathways for at-risk youth. This program plays a crucial role in preventing violence, promoting positive decision-making, and strengthening community safety.
– Family & Community Safety: advocating for multicultural family violence support services to ensure culturally sensitive interventions in the Melton Region.
– Capacity Building & Advocacy: strengthening grassroots organizations, advocating for policy changes, and fostering leadership within multicultural communities.
