Friends of the Earth is one of the world’s oldest and largest environmental and social justice organisations. In Australia, we are a federation of grassroots organisations with chapters across the country, and including organisations such as School Strike 4 Climate and Market Forces. Friends of the Earth Melbourne is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and undertakes many and varied campaigns, supported by its extensive volunteer base. Recent successes include an end to native forest logging in Victoria, and a state constitutional ban on fracking.
