We are a self-funded charity helping the homeless and focusing on the Indigenous homeless population. We also run an op-shop and a foodbank to help more of our community in Ipswitch. Our needs are getting dire with more and more homeless people and displaced families; we are no longer able to house anymore.
Our vision is to build homeless shelters run by charities to allow help and guidance, incorporating Indigenous values and goals. At present we have 10 beds for rehabilitation, mainly intaking parolees from incarceration to try and stop the cycle of reincarceration. We have just set up a foodbank store to help our community with the high cost of living, but our homeless and displaced still sleep rough every night and we must help and address this issue.
