Green Cross Project (GCPI) is proud to partner with various healthcare providers to extend health and outreach services across Melbourne’s CBD, inner northern, western, south-eastern suburbs and rural and regional Victoria. GCPI enables health services to meet the needs of homeless, disadvantaged and marginalised members in the community, as well as to provide health maintenance, disease prevention, primary care, and support of the highest standards.
GCPI purchases and refurbishes vehicles so that they can operate a mobile health clinics. The provision of healthcare clinics has help improve access to health and support services, particularly in areas of significant disadvantage i.e. caravan parks, social housing and areas with poor public transport.
By working with healthcare providers, GCPI is able to design and fit out vehicles that can provide a range of services. Some of the vehicles provide dental, eye diagnostic and cancer screenings (as well as general healthcare support – even GP services).
