Hearts of Purple (HOP) was founded in 2017 by a dedicated group of volunteers to provide a framework of assistance for high-risk Domestic Violence (DV) victims. Victims who are at real risk of being murdered.
Our vision is to help vulnerable past and current victims of DV. We are a small team of volunteers – there are no paid staff. We assist high risk DV victims and their families by removing them from danger, ensuring they are not being tracked electronically, monitoring their safety through providing them with Alarm Watches, assisting with security by providing security alarms to their homes, emergency accommodation, food and clothing as well as access to all available external services and funding. We support victims throughout the Gold Coast, Logan and Brisbane regions.
