HER Africa Ltd is a not-for-profit charitable organisation, established in 2019 in Melbourne, Australia.
The fundamental purpose of the organisation is to help disadvantaged Nigerians, particularly women, and families, to break the cycle of poverty and improve their lives. HER Africa aims to fight poverty in Nigeria by focusing primarily on gender equality, education, health, economic empowerment, and water, sanitation, and hygiene services.
Gender equality is essential for development. That is why Her Africa has a strong focus on empowering women through its work. Her Africa aims to support women to improve their livelihoods through economic empowerment – which includes facilitating access to quality training and decent work. Higher incomes give families better opportunities to access education and healthcare – thus helping to break the cycle of poverty.
HER Africa is committed to being a catalyst for positive change in the lives of Nigerian women. We strive to address critical needs, promote gender equality, and pave the way for a future where African women can thrive, lead, and achieve success.
